Have you heard it yet? This week is Work Happiness Week. That all sounds very nice, but what does this mean? And: what exactly is 'work happiness'?
You can read and see that later in this newsletter. And when you read all the articles in this edition, you will see that there is quite a bit of job satisfaction within D&B and that we really work on it. We wish you happy reading!
WE ARE
ON A ROLL
Do you remember? In the May newsletter we announced that we had won the tender for the ADP office in Rotterdam. ADP is an American company and a leading global provider of payroll and HR solutions.
On September 1, the time had finally come and we started our services: Hospitality, coffee bar, Cleaning and the restaurant.
And what a start! This was truly a textbook example of a successful integrated start-up, with a lot of positivity among both ADP employees and within our own team.
The Cleaning team, consisting of Patricia, Nassira and Isabel, has been fully taken over and has therefore been employed by D&B. We welcome Koenti, Sharita and Laila from the restaurant and Connie and Marina from the reception. This means that in addition to a new client, we immediately have eight new colleagues. Good deal, right?
Nicole started at D&B at the reception and Sem as Site Manager. Sem comes from our Security company and is making a great career move. In the meantime, flex chef Timothy is cooking fantastic food and will be relieved by the new permanent chef in mid-October.
CULTURE CLUB
HIGHLIGHTS
We are busy at the D&B Culture Club!
The Zuidas Cup football tournament has just wrapped up, and what a fantastic D&B mix we saw on the pitch this year! Colleagues from various parts of our organization took part, with a notably large turnout from ASML this time around. It was great to see everyone together like that!
Unfortunately, we just missed out on winning the Zuidas Cup... but fortunately, a trophy still made its way back to the office that day. 🏆⚽️ Sander Bon, the latest addition to our executive team, managed to clinch the lloff Penalty Shootout Trophy! A fantastic conclusion to a sporty day filled with inspiration, networking, and a focus on Social Return. Congratulations, Sander! 👏
Meanwhile, the Movie Night in Rijswijk is just around the corner. Only… the number of registrations is still a bit disappointing. We now have about 20 participants. So are you still in doubt? Sign up! Because otherwise we may be forced to cancel the Movie Night and that would of course be a shame.
A little further in the future, the Chill-Out Staff Drinks are on the program. Even if we call it a drink, we secretly turn it into another staff party. And you are clearly excited about that: the counter is now approaching 150 registrations!

This time we deliberately chose a location in Rijswijk, closer to The Hague and Rotterdam. This means that our colleagues from South Holland do not have to drive so far for a change. Let's make it an EPIC evening together with good food, a good movie and, above all, lots of nice colleagues.

OF D&B
Another Employee Satisfaction Survey is coming up on September 29. You, like us, probably have to read that word three times before you know what it says. In short: a survey in which we ask you how you experience working at D&B. How satisfied are you with your work, your manager, your remuneration and everything else that influences your job satisfaction?
We do not conduct the research ourselves. We have this done completely anonymously by our new partner Askemo Spring X. Then we have good news: this time you'll be done in about 5 minutes.
It is important that as many colleagues as possible participate. The more people give their opinion, the better we see what we are doing well and where we can improve. And we then actually start working on those areas for improvement.
We will keep you informed of the results, improvement projects and progress through this newsletter, among other things.
And because we at D&B don't like long, boring words, we will now simply call the Employee Satisfaction Survey: The Pulse of D&B.

We are already halfway through Work Happiness Week! A great moment to reflect on what makes your work worthwhile.
Because job satisfaction and job satisfaction may sound the same, but there is a difference. Job satisfaction can, for example, be found in a pleasant lunch with colleagues or a working day when everything runs smoothly. Job satisfaction goes a step further: the feeling that you are in your place, get satisfaction from what you do and can make a difference. Even if you don't have a good day.
But enough theory. We wanted to know: what does job satisfaction mean for our own D&B employees? So we put that question to Naziha and Helen.
